About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and support a team of merchandisers (buyers)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top suppliers
- Lead cost-saving initiatives through improved pricing and optimized purchasing strategies
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure alignment with company targets
- Use SAP ERP system to track and manage purchasing and inventory functions
- Identify and implement improvements in purchasing procedures and reporting
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, merchandising, or procurement leadership
- Proven track record in vendor negotiation and cost savings
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
