About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and implement seasonal range plans, including assortment, pricing, and competitor positioning
- Oversee category performance by analyzing weekly/monthly sales, sell-through, and stock levels
- Execute in-season trading actions such as reorders and markdowns to optimize commercial performance
- Manage sample budgets and ordering processes for wholesale, retail, and e-commerce launches
- Conduct market research on competitor activity and local fashion trends to report insights to global HQ
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising and Retail teams to support product launches and store floor sets
- Partner with Planning and Finance to manage OTB planning and inventory strategies aligned with margin targets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in fashion merchandising
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical aptitude with advanced Excel skills and retail math capabilities
- Proven commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making skills

- Experience in luxury retail environments
