Merchandiser Lead

Responsibilities

• Train new and existing merchandisers in standard activities, procedures, and onboarding.
• Provide coaching, capability-building sessions, and performance feedback to the team.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the Merchandising Supervisor during their absence.
• Monitor daily merchandising activities in the field using an iPad.
• Conduct weekly store audits and regular check-ins with merchandisers.
• Cover open routes and fulfill daily merchandising activities as needed.
• Ensure teammates follow safe working techniques and use proper equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of work experience in grocery, retail, warehouse, manual labor, or a related field.
• Valid Driver's License and current vehicle liability insurance.
• Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) certification upon hire.
• Basic computer and technology skills, including proficiency with smartphones and tablets.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on customer needs.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs or less and perform physical tasks like bending, squatting, and frequent travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in merchandising and leadership roles.
• Experience operating equipment such as pallet jacks and high loader lifts.
