About the role
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate new products based on quality, cost, and market trends
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing and lead times
- Monitor market conditions and price fluctuations to ensure optimal buying decisions
- Manage inventory across Stock and Just-in-Time (JIT) categories
- Establish target selling prices for made-to-order and non-stock merchandise
- Set and update part numbers, costs, and pricing using SAP or ERP platforms
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Accounting teams
- Maintain clear records of supplier quotes, correspondence, and cost changes
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience
- Experience negotiating with vendors and managing supplier relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Comfort working in an ERP system (SAP experience is a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
