Merchandiser

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising plans to ensure optimal product placement, display, and availability in retail stores
• Stock shelves, rotate products, and build displays to ensure product freshness
• Maintain product levels on store racks, shelves, displays, and in coolers
• Implement promotional activities and set up signage to drive sales
• Transport product between backrooms and display floors using manual equipment
• Operate manual and powered handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand-trucks
• Maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff to maximize merchandising opportunities
• Manage backroom organization and ensure accurate product counts

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company policy guidelines
• Ability to repetitively lift, push, and pull up to 40-55 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach
• Ability to push/pull material handling equipment containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in grocery, retail, consumer goods, or warehousing
• Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks
