About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, source, and curate compelling and profitable product assortments for clients
- Negotiate and develop strategic supplier relationships
- Define seasonal product strategies by identifying future opportunities and trends
- Translate current trends into creative products applicable to client business types
- Use historical and current data to evaluate performance and inform line architecture
- Run weekly merchandise status calls with clients and internal WIP meetings
- Oversee the execution of product launches and manage compliance, quality, and operational metrics
- Negotiate buying terms with suppliers including price, quantity, and delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of retail buying, product development, merchandising, or planning experience
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience initiating and implementing merchandise strategies
- Ability to analyze consumer data and identify product trends
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail and customer service experience
- Experience with Smartsheet
- Experience with PLM or Oracle
