MEP Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical installations.
• Verify contractor compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and local codes.
• Monitor construction activities and report any deviations or non-conformances.
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review MEP shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover processes for MEP systems.
• Ensure that work is performed in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
• Alternatively, a Diploma in a related engineering discipline with 7+ years of experience.
• Solid knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as NFPA, IEC, and ASHRAE.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical documents.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
