MEP Engineer

Responsibilities

• Communicate with electrical and mechanical equipment vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors
• Purchase electrical and mechanical equipment and coordinate submittals
• Assist with electrical and mechanical cost estimates and drawing coordination
• Support construction of large-scale mission critical facilities (e.g., data centers) and office buildings
• Develop project scopes and schedules, coordinate change orders and RFIs, and manage project budgets and cost control
• Supervise subcontractors and vendors, maintaining professional relationships with owners’ representatives, architects, engineers, and clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or related field
• 2+ years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems
• Extensive experience managing construction of data centers and complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects
• Experience developing project scopes, schedules, change orders, and RFIs
• Experience managing project budgets and cost control
• Strong ability to manage relationships with owners, architects, and engineers
