MEP Electrical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations including HV & LV systems, power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems
• Review Inspection Requests (IRs) and verify installations against approved shop drawings, specifications, and authority requirements
• Identify non-conforming works and issue observations or Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required
• Monitor material approvals, deliveries, and installation quality on-site
• Maintain detailed inspection records, daily reports, and quality documentation
• Coordinate with contractors and other disciplines to resolve site issues
• Witness testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities
• Support senior engineers in reviewing electrical submittals and technical documentation

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5–8 years of UAE experience in electrical inspection and supervision
• Mandatory experience working on projects regulated by Dubai Municipality (DM) and Dubai Civil Defence (DCD)
• Strong knowledge of DEWA, DM, and DCD requirements
• Experience in hospitality, residential high-rise, commercial, or mixed-use developments
• Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in quality control and inspection documentation
