Mental Health Worker

Responsibilities

• Support patients with daily living activities, personal care, and supportive interactions
• Monitor, observe, and document patient behavior and changes in condition
• Assist with admissions, patient orientation, and care plan implementation
• Facilitate group-based activities to encourage engagement and coping skills
• Respond to behavioral health crises and provide patient supervision
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Current BLS certification
• Prior customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality, or human services
• Ability to stand, walk, and respond to crises in an active environment
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings
• Experience in acute inpatient mental health or related healthcare environments
• Experience in direct patient care, observation, or therapeutic support
