Mental Health Worker

Responsibilities

• Support patients with daily living activities, personal care, and supportive interactions to promote dignity and recovery.
• Monitor, observe, and document patient behavior, communicating changes to the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with admissions, patient orientation, and the implementation of care plans.
• Facilitate group-based activities to encourage engagement and the development of coping skills.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral health crises and provide patient supervision during appointments and activities.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive care.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality, human services, or a high-interaction environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds in an active patient care environment.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or acute inpatient mental health settings.
• Experience providing direct patient care, observation, or therapeutic support in a healthcare environment.
