Mental Health Wellness Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group support for students with behavioral health concerns
• Facilitate wellness promotion, prevention programming, and health education
• Perform regular check-ins and scheduled meetings to offer emotional support
• Document activities and manage behavioral health screening databases
• Connect students to outpatient therapy, support groups, and social services
• Coordinate care with other professionals, specifically for students with IEPs
• Deliver education on nutrition, exercise, stress management, and life skills
• Guide youth on coping skills, emotion regulation, and thinking patterns
• Facilitate small group sessions focused on social-emotional skills
• Follow established protocols for risk response and crisis referrals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in school, health, or community settings with ages 5-18
• Experience working with students, families, and social service agencies
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and behavioral health
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
• Valid State ID and official transcripts
• Minimum of 2,000 hours of field or work experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
