Mental Health Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, family, and crisis counseling to students in assigned schools
• Teach social and emotional learning programs to all classes in the assigned school
• Assist principals and education staff in managing and handling challenging student behaviors
• Partner with school personnel, families, and community partners to support student wellness

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work
• Ohio licensure (LPC, LPCC, LSW, or LISW)
• Experience providing mental health treatment to a variety of clientele
• Experience working with people from various social and cultural communities
• Valid driver's license with a low-risk driving record insurable by the University

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
• Mental health counseling experience in a K-12 school setting
• Knowledge of Catholic schools and their culture
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Proven experience building and sustaining relationships with school staff and the community
