About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, family, and crisis counseling to students in assigned schools
- Teach social and emotional learning programs to all classes in the assigned school
- Assist principals and education staff in managing and handling challenging student behaviors
- Partner with school personnel, families, and community partners to support student wellness
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work
- Ohio licensure (LPC, LPCC, LSW, or LISW)
- Experience providing mental health treatment to a variety of clientele
- Experience working with people from various social and cultural communities
- Valid driver's license with a low-risk driving record insurable by the University
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
- Mental health counseling experience in a K-12 school setting
- Knowledge of Catholic schools and their culture
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proven experience building and sustaining relationships with school staff and the community
