About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention for patients on the inpatient mental health unit
- Deliver brief therapeutic interventions in both individual and family formats, including safety planning
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute personalized treatment plans
- Participate in group and milieu activities as directed by unit needs
- Perform mandated reporting as required by law and hospital policy
- Coordinate with community agencies to ensure continuity and comprehensive care for patients
- Work independently to maintain high levels of organization and identify collaborative opportunities across hospital departments
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work
- Valid professional license (LMFT, LPC, or LSW)
- Experience working with patients presenting with mental health or substance use disorders
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting
