About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention for patients on the mental health unit
  • Deliver brief therapeutic interventions in both individual and family formats, including safety planning
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute personalized treatment plans
  • Participate in group and milieu activities as directed by unit needs
  • Perform mandated reporting as required by law and hospital policy
  • Coordinate with community agencies to ensure continuity of care and comprehensive support
  • Work independently to maintain high levels of organization and identify collaborative opportunities across hospital departments

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work
  • Valid professional license (LMFT, LPC, or LSW)
  • Experience working with patients presenting with mental health or substance use disorders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting
