Mental Health Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention on the mental health unit
• Deliver brief therapeutic interventions in individual and family formats, including safety planning
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute personalized treatment plans
• Participate in group and milieu activities with patients as directed by unit needs
• Perform mandated reporting as required by law and policy
• Collaborate with community agencies to ensure comprehensive continuity of care
• Work independently while maintaining high levels of organization and identifying collaborative opportunities across hospital departments

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work
• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LSW
• Experience working with patients presenting with mental health or substance use disorders

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting
