About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention on the mental health unit
- Deliver brief therapeutic interventions in individual and family formats, including safety planning
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute personalized treatment plans
- Participate in group and milieu activities with patients as directed by unit needs
- Perform mandated reporting as required by law and policy
- Collaborate with community agencies to ensure comprehensive continuity of care
- Work independently while maintaining high levels of organization and identifying collaborative opportunities across hospital departments
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work
- Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LSW
- Experience working with patients presenting with mental health or substance use disorders
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting
