Mental Health Technician

Responsibilities

• Support clients’ physical and psychological safety
• Monitor and oversee clients’ self-administration of medication
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of observations
• Transport clients on outings and doctor’s appointments
• Provide one-on-one assistance to clients in crisis
• Assist clients with nutritional and dietary needs
• Assist in the admission and discharge process
• Lead or co-lead and facilitate groups as appropriate to licensure
• Perform light housekeeping and inventory duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 0-4 years experience working with persons with mental disabilities
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• First Aid Certificate
• Completion of health screening, TB clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
