Mental Health Technician II

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, trauma-informed care and support to pediatric patients with emotional, psychiatric, or behavioral conditions.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu through routine safety checks and constant attendance as ordered.
• Adhere to patient-specific treatment plans and assist with activities of daily living.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and assist with patient programming.
• Perform crisis intervention and provide appropriate documentation of patient behavior and care.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team and assist with discharge planning.

Requirements

• Associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
• Ability to work the night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) on a full-time basis (36 hours per week).
• Availability for weekend and holiday rotations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• CPI or other crisis intervention training.
• Experience working specifically with patients experiencing mental health or substance use disorders.
