About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, trauma-informed care and support to pediatric patients with emotional, psychiatric, or behavioral conditions.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu through routine safety checks and constant attendance as ordered.
- Adhere to patient-specific treatment plans and assist with activities of daily living.
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and assist with patient programming.
- Perform crisis intervention and provide appropriate documentation of patient status and behavior.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team and assist with discharge planning.
Requirements
- Associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
- Ability to work part-time night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), including weekend and holiday rotations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- CPI or other crisis intervention training.
- Experience working specifically with patients experiencing mental health or substance use disorders.
