Mental Health Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary mental health team
• Manage day-to-day mental health service delivery and staff rostering
• Conduct mental state examinations, risk assessments, and crisis interventions
• Facilitate case reviews, clinical supervision, and multidisciplinary meetings
• Support care coordination, medication management, and staff professional growth
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy
• Current AHPRA registration or relevant professional membership
• Minimum of 5 years of experience within the mental health sector
• Demonstrated leadership experience in mental health services
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, risk management, and crisis intervention

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within correctional health, detention, or forensic mental health settings
• Experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) or other high-acuity environments
