Mental Health Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary mental health team
• Conduct mental state examinations, risk assessments, and crisis interventions
• Support care coordination and medication management
• Facilitate case reviews, clinical supervision, and multidisciplinary meetings
• Manage operational matters including rostering, resources, and reporting
• Support staff development, training, and professional growth

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy
• Current AHPRA registration or relevant professional membership
• 5 years of experience in the mental health sector with a postgraduate Mental Health qualification, OR 7 years of experience without a postgraduate qualification
• Demonstrated leadership experience within mental health services
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, risk management, and crisis intervention

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within correctional health, detention, forensic mental health, or AOD settings
• Experience working in high-acuity environments
