About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred, trauma-informed mental health support to promote independence and skill development
  • Increase individuals' community living skills, personal growth, and social engagement
  • Build rapport with clients to understand their needs and help implement effective solutions
  • Prompt and encourage individuals regarding activities of daily living, including personal care and meal preparation
  • Support individuals in developing goals and support plans in partnership with stakeholders
  • Monitor daily behaviours and provide feedback to management regarding the effectiveness of support plans
  • Maintain high-quality progress notes and documentation in line with NDIS and funding body requirements

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or a similar qualification
  • Demonstrated experience working with people with complex needs and psychosocial disabilities
  • Current driver's license
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Ability to work Tuesday to Friday, 7am to 4pm (72 hours per fortnight)
  • Ability to clear probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and WA Working with Children Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with disability support, specifically prompting for personal care and meal preparation
