About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred, trauma-informed mental health support to promote independence and skill development
  • Increase individuals' community living skills and facilitate opportunities for social engagement
  • Build rapport with clients to understand their needs and help implement effective solutions
  • Provide prompting and encouragement for activities of daily living, including direct personal care when required
  • Monitor and document client progress and behaviours in line with NDIS and funding body requirements
  • Support individuals in developing personal goals and support plans in partnership with stakeholders
  • Perform active night shifts (10pm to 8am) as part of a permanent part-time roster

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with people with complex needs and psychosocial disabilities
  • Current driver's license
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Ability to pass a National Criminal History Record Check and WA Working with Children Check
  • Computer literacy and strong administration skills

  • Sensitivity and experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
