Mental Health Provider

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site mental health services including assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy within a correctional or specialized facility setting.
• Conduct mental health evaluations, substance use treatment, and individual or group therapy within scope of licensure.
• Assess and manage suicide and homicide risk, including performing suicide watch contacts and segregation monitoring.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record, including treatment plans and progress notes.
• Support emergency response, initial stabilization, and coordination for off-site emergency care when clinically necessary.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement, risk management, and annual policy reviews.

Requirements

• Maryland clinical license (PhD/PsyD, LCSW, or LPC) or the ability to obtain one.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a thorough background investigation.
• Ability to perform physical duties in a stressful environment, including lifting up to 30 pounds and assisting patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Spanish.
