About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site mental health services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy
- Conduct suicide and homicide risk assessments and perform segregation monitoring
- Deliver culturally competent and trauma-informed care
- Manage mental health and substance use treatment within scope of licensure
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in electronic health records
- Coordinate off-site referrals and medical transfer summaries
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and risk management activities
- Support emergency response and stabilization for acute behavioral health needs
Requirements
- Highest-level clinical license/certification available in the state of Maryland
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to conduct mental health evaluations and manage suicide/homicide risk
- U.S. citizenship and five-year U.S. residency
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and medical examination
- Physical ability to lift 30 pounds and perform emergency care tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Spanish
- Experience in correctional or high-security environments
