About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site mental health services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy.
  • Conduct suicide and homicide risk assessments and perform required monitoring and segregation protocols.
  • Deliver culturally competent and trauma-informed care to patients in accordance with accreditation standards.
  • Manage clinical documentation within electronic health records, including progress notes and transfer summaries.
  • Coordinate with psychiatry services and support off-site care referrals and emergency response.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement, risk management, and annual policy reviews.

Requirements

  • Highest-level clinical license in the state of Texas (Psychologist, LCSW, or LPC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a thorough background investigation.
  • Educational background appropriate for licensure: PhD/PsyD for Psychologists, MSW for LCSW, or Master's/Doctoral degree in Counseling for LPC.
  • Ability to perform physical duties in potentially austere environments, including lifting up to 30 pounds and performing emergency care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Spanish.
