Mental Health Counselor I

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality individual mental health counseling and psychotherapy to a diverse student body.
• Offer relational counseling to help students build healthy, thriving connections.
• Maintain clinical integrity through timely and accurate documentation and caseload management.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings, supervision, and university-wide gatherings such as Chapel.
• Provide psycho-educational training for students, staff, and faculty.
• Serve as a consultative partner during Bethel Care Team meetings and represent counseling services on university committees.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
• Current licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an LMFT or LPCC in the State of Minnesota.
• 1+ years of experience in adult mental health counseling.
• Alignment with Bethel’s Affirmation of Faith and Community Covenant.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with the 16–25 age demographic.
• Previous experience working within a university setting.
