Mental Health Clinician II

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized psychological testing and assessment to determine the clinical needs of adult inmates
• Arrive at precise and accurate diagnoses through comprehensive evaluation sessions
• Develop individualized treatment plans and make clinically based decisions regarding treatment modalities
• Provide group, individual, and family therapies
• Assess patients and make appropriate referrals for higher levels of care
• Recognize and address the unique needs and behaviors of adult inmate patients and seniors

Requirements

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical-Counseling Psychology, or Forensic Psychology
• Demonstrated training in psychological testing and measurement
• Minimum of two years of post-master's experience (a Doctorate in psychology may be substituted for this requirement)
• Valid Driver's License and possession of a personal vehicle for travel between sites
• Ability to be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional licensure in the mental health field, such as Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)
