About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized psychological testing and assessment to determine the clinical needs of adult inmates
- Arrive at precise and accurate diagnoses through comprehensive evaluation sessions
- Develop individualized treatment plans and make clinically based decisions regarding treatment modalities
- Provide group, individual, and family therapies
- Assess patients and make appropriate referrals for higher levels of care
- Recognize and address the unique needs and behaviors of adult inmate patients and seniors
Requirements
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical-Counseling Psychology, or Forensic Psychology
- Demonstrated training in psychological testing and measurement
- Minimum of two years of post-master's experience (a Doctorate in psychology may be substituted for this requirement)
- Valid Driver's License and possession of a personal vehicle for travel between sites
- Ability to be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional licensure in the mental health field, such as Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)
