About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized psychological testing and assessment of clinical needs for adult inmates
  • Arrive at accurate diagnoses through psychological testing and evaluation sessions
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans and make clinically based decisions regarding treatment modalities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapies
  • Assess patients and make referrals for higher levels of care as appropriate
  • Recognize and address the unique needs and behaviors of adult inmate patients and seniors

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical-Counseling Psychology, or Forensic Psychology
  • Minimum of two (2) years of post-master's experience (a Doctorate in psychology may be substituted)
  • Training in psychological testing and measurement
  • Valid Driver's License and possession of a personal vehicle for travel between sites
  • Ability to be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional licensure in the mental health field (e.g., LAC, LPC, or LCADC)
