Mental Health Clinician II

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally competent outpatient mental health services to the designated adult population
• Conduct clinical assessments to determine treatment needs and levels of care
• Deliver evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy for mental health and co-occurring chemical dependency
• Coordinate with case managers, medical providers, and community agencies for client referrals and linkages
• Maintain high standards of clinical documentation in accordance with UBHC policy and accreditation requirements
• Champion the use of evidence-based practices through skill development and peer consultation

Requirements

• Master's Degree in mental health or a related discipline
• Minimum of two (2) years of post-Master's experience in the mental health field
• Active New Jersey licensure/certification as required by discipline (e.g., Social Work)
• Demonstrated competency in treating adults and families
• Experience providing outpatient group therapy treatment

Preferred Qualifications

• LCADC certification
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
• Proficiency with electronic clinical documentation systems
