Mental Health Clinical Faculty

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction for nursing students within the Mental Health Nursing course
• Plan clinical experiences and evaluate student performance based on course objectives
• Provide documented feedback and remediation to students as required
• Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student skill competency
• Maintain current knowledge of agency and clinical policies and procedures
• Grade clinical paperwork, quizzes, and other written work in a timely manner
• Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Oklahoma
• At least two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years
• Subject matter expertise in mental health nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
