About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction for nursing students within the Mental Health Nursing course
- Plan clinical experiences and evaluate student performance based on course objectives
- Provide documented feedback and remediation to students as required
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student skill competency
- Maintain current knowledge of agency and clinical policies and procedures
- Grade clinical paperwork, quizzes, and other written work in a timely manner
- Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Oklahoma
- At least two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years
- Subject matter expertise in mental health nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
