Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Delegate

Responsibilities

• Assess mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) needs, risks, and vulnerabilities among populations affected by armed conflict.
• Design, develop, and adapt MHPSS programmes and interventions in line with identified needs and local contexts.
• Ensure the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up of MHPSS activities and programmes.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and capacity strengthening to staff, partners, and relevant stakeholders.
• Promote the integration of MHPSS across relevant sectors, particularly within Health and Protection programmes.
• Coordinate and collaborate with authorities, Movement partners, and National Societies to ensure coherent responses.

Requirements

• Degree in Clinical Psychology or Psychiatry.
• Valid license to practice in your country of residence.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Minimum of two years of international field experience working directly with affected populations in humanitarian contexts.
• Excellent command of English (C1 or above).
• Valid driving license (for manual transmission vehicles).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of public mental health and integrated MHPSS intervention models.
• Experience with victims of violence, sexual violence, torture, or detention.
• Proficiency in French, Arabic, Spanish, or Russian (B2 or above).
• Significant experience in training and supervision processes.
