About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) needs, risks, and vulnerabilities among populations affected by armed conflict.
- Design, develop, and adapt MHPSS programmes and interventions in line with identified needs and local contexts.
- Ensure the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up of MHPSS activities and programmes.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and capacity strengthening to staff, partners, and relevant stakeholders.
- Promote the integration of MHPSS across relevant sectors, particularly within Health and Protection programmes.
- Coordinate and collaborate with authorities, Movement partners, and National Societies to ensure coherent responses.
Requirements
- Degree in Clinical Psychology or Psychiatry.
- Valid license to practice in your country of residence.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
- Minimum of two years of international field experience working directly with affected populations in humanitarian contexts.
- Excellent command of English (C1 or above).
- Valid driving license (for manual transmission vehicles).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of public mental health and integrated MHPSS intervention models.
- Experience with victims of violence, sexual violence, torture, or detention.
- Proficiency in French, Arabic, Spanish, or Russian (B2 or above).
- Significant experience in training and supervision processes.
