About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and coordinate disability and mental health services for Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
  • Design and distribute disability program tools responsive to the needs of children, families, and staff.
  • Oversee the implementation of mental health services across the program.
  • Support transition procedures for children with disabilities moving from Early Head Start to Head Start and into public schools.
  • Collaborate with Education/Site Managers and Home-Based Services Managers to enhance program elements.
  • Build and foster relationships with local school districts, community partners, and local agencies to enhance services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • 5 years of related disabilities and mental health education experience, specifically with young children and pregnant women.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of supervisory or management-level experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of community, county, state, and federal policies regarding Head Start and Childcare Licensing.
  • Skills in program development, implementation, operation, evaluation, and fiscal management.
