Men's Basketball Assistant Coach and Athletic Administrator

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual discipleship to men's basketball student-athletes and model Christian competition.
• Recruit and retain quality student-athletes who align with the college's mission and vision.
• Manage all facets of the JV basketball program, including recruiting, scheduling, and practice planning.
• Assist with intercollegiate program management, including on-court instruction, scouting reports, and travel arrangements.
• Monitor student-athlete academic performance and partner with Student Development for retention.
• Oversee the men's basketball budget and conduct summer basketball camps.
• Perform administrative duties within the Athletic Department, such as game day management, facility oversight, or student employee supervision.

Requirements

• Acceptance of and commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience coaching men's basketball.
• Strong understanding of and commitment to Scripture, the Westminster Standards, and the doctrinal standards of the PCA.
• Ability to adhere to all policies and regulations of Covenant College, the Collegiate Conference of the South, and the NCAA Division III.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Collegiate-level basketball coaching experience.
