MEMS Microphone Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive the development of custom MEMS microphone modules, covering MEMS transducer, ASIC, and advanced packaging solutions
• Lead the integration of microphone modules into complex systems, focusing on resolving Microphone Coexistence (Mic-Coex) issues involving RF/EMI and signal integrity
• Implement mechanical and electrical integration using flexible printed circuits (FPC)
• Oversee the Final Assembly, Test, and Pack (FATP) process and develop acoustic testing methodologies for mass production
• Define and oversee comprehensive reliability testing programs including thermal cycling, drop/shock testing, and moisture sensitivity evaluations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of direct experience in MEMS microphone module development from concept to high-volume mass production
• Expertise in acoustic engineering and semiconductor manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving skills in system-level challenges such as RF/EMI and signal integrity
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and contract manufacturers
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25-30%

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools like JMP or Minitab
• Experience with structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D and FMEA
