Member Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling on depository accounts, lending products, and credit/debit cards to meet member needs
• Assist members with opening and maintaining accounts, loans, and other financial products
• Process routine transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing
• Research and resolve basic account discrepancies and service requests
• Identify opportunities to cross-service products and enhance member relationships through education
• Ensure all cash and negotiable instruments are handled securely and in compliance with regulations

Requirements

• Experience in building effective relationships through rapport, trust, and diplomacy
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Proficiency in navigating multiple systems and adapting to evolving technologies
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain composure in a high-production, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of deposit and loan products, services, and operational procedures
• Previous experience in customer service, preferably within a banking or financial institution
