About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of the connector runtime for registering, hosting, and executing connectors and tools
- Build and extend the semantic layer including tool schemas, capability metadata, and relationship modeling
- Design tool-discovery and tool-selection surfaces to optimize model accuracy and context efficiency
- Ensure robust agent loops through structured results, retry semantics, idempotency, and observability
- Define authentication, authorization, and credential-isolation patterns like OAuth and BYOK
- Build connector onboarding paths including schemas, fixtures, and evaluation suites
- Set technical bars for reliability, SLAs, and error-rate monitoring
- Partner with product and AI teams to define integration patterns
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing and building production backend systems
- Strong system design skills for scalable architectures and API integration
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- Depth in OAuth, API/MCP-server development, or semantic modeling
- Experience with security-sensitive areas like authorization and credential isolation
