Member of Technical Staff, Production/DevOps Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain platform services and automation used by internal engineering teams.
• Contribute to the Internal Developer Platform (IDP), including APIs, dashboards, and supporting data models.
• Improve testbed lifecycle management, lease enforcement, and service integrations for on-demand infrastructure.
• Automate and optimize infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational workflows.
• Build and improve dashboarding and data visibility workflows to support triage and observability.
• Debug complex workflow and infrastructure issues to improve system reliability and correctness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, reliable, and secure platform solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering fundamentals and building backend or platform systems.
• Strong experience with Linux systems, automation, and production-grade debugging.
• Proficiency in Go and scripting for infrastructure or platform automation.
• Experience with APIs, service integrations, and workflow-based systems.
• Familiarity with VM lifecycle management, cloud/virtualization platforms, or infrastructure orchestration (e.g., OpenStack).
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerized systems, or fleet-scale infrastructure management.
• Proven ability to build internal platforms, developer productivity tools, or infrastructure services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to large-scale distributed systems or open source ecosystems.
• Experience with observability, dashboards, or engineering-facing operational tooling.
• Experience improving service reliability, governance, and lifecycle control for shared infrastructure.
