Member of Technical Staff, Platform Frontend

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, and optimize the front-end for the scientific discovery platform
• Translate complex AI-driven scientific workflows into intuitive user experiences
• Work closely with product and research teams to anticipate user needs
• Develop and maintain a modular design system
• Profile and optimize rendering performance and interaction responsiveness
• Integrate real-time data visualizations and dynamic interfaces
• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices

Requirements

• 4-8 years of professional experience in front-end engineering
• Deep experience in JavaScript, React, and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of browser rendering pipelines and performance profiling
• Experience with real-time data handling (WebSockets, GraphQL subscriptions)
• Experience with interactive visualizations (D3.js, Deck.gl, Three.js)
• Experience building design systems and reusable component libraries
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scientific data visualization, computational biology, or AI/ML tools
• Familiarity with back-end integration patterns for high-throughput data pipelines
