Responsibilities

• Build inference APIs for real-time serving and large-scale batch scoring of genome-scale workloads
• Design the compute and orchestration layer including job queues, autoscaling GPU inference, and fault tolerance
• Develop developer-facing products including API surfaces, SDKs, and documentation
• Optimize platform performance to drive down cost and latency per inference
• Package the platform for deployment in partner environments, including on-prem and air-gapped installs

Requirements

• Experience building and operating production-scale backend or distributed systems
• Proven track record of shipping model-as-a-service products
• Proficiency in Python and at least one typed language, with experience in containers and infrastructure as code

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with GPU inference internals like vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, or Triton
• Experience deploying software into enterprise VPC, on-prem, or air-gapped environments
• Familiarity with genomics or computational biology
