About the role
About the Company
Mandolin is laying the clinical and financial infrastructure to get groundbreaking treatments to patients faster, powered by AI agents. We partner closely with the largest healthcare institutions in the US, covering more than $10B drug spend across the country.
Responsibilities
- Own cloud infrastructure end-to-end, designing and operating scalable, highly available environments on GCP
- Drive GitOps and Kubernetes delivery using ArgoCD, managing clusters and promotion workflows
- Embed security into the SDLC through centralized secrets management and zero-trust IAM policies
- Build first-class observability by deploying metrics, tracing, and log pipelines
- Improve developer experience through automation, runbooks, and golden-path tooling
- Write production-quality Go code to build internal tooling and automate operational workflows
- Collaborate across teams to review architectural changes and partner on scalability initiatives
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure at scale
- Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes (cluster management, networking, autoscaling)
- Proficiency with GitOps and ArgoCD (ApplicationSets, sync waves, multi-cluster delivery)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Cloud Build
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Pulumi, Terraform, or equivalent
- Strong security background including IAM design and zero-trust principles
- Experience writing production-quality code in GoLang
- Strong cloud fundamentals (GCP preferred, but AWS or Azure experience is acceptable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with workflow orchestration platforms like Temporal, Argo Workflows, or Airflow
- Prior work in HIPAA, SOC 2, or similarly regulated environments
- Exposure to service mesh, mTLS, or zero-trust networking patterns
- Experience building internal developer platforms
- Background in healthcare or data-sensitive industries
