Member of Technical Staff

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for partner engagements, building production-grade integrations of Goodfire's platform into customer environments
• Design and execute creative, short-timeline pilots that demonstrate platform impact
• Serve as the day-to-day technical point of contact, embedding with partner engineering teams
• Compound learnings across engagements by identifying repeatable patterns and building shared tooling
• Bridge research and production by hardening novel interpretability methods for customer stacks

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills with production experience in Python
• Experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch and JAX
• Ability to work across research and engineering boundaries to ship new techniques
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to diverse stakeholders
• Scrappiness, persistence in ambiguity, and a generalist "can-do" mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent professional experience in AI, ML, or related field
• Experience in forward-deployed, solutions, or customer-facing engineering roles
• Track record of excellence in a high-growth startup or frontier AI lab
• Experience with large language models, fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, or agent development
• Familiarity with interpretability, mechanistic interpretability, or model internals
