Member of Technical Staff - FIT

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the development of a unified orchestration layer to manage state, scheduling, and resource allocation across physical and virtual fleets.
• Eliminate systemic bottlenecks, such as resource contention and distributed locking issues, to ensure high availability of provisioning workflows.
• Define the long-term technical roadmap for hardware lifecycle management and automation stack integration.
• Partner with SRE and Product teams to establish company-wide standards for environment requests and CI/CD pipeline streamlining.
• Provide technical mentorship to senior engineers, setting high standards for code quality and distributed systems design.

Requirements

• Mastery of distributed systems, including deep understanding of consistency, availability, and partition tolerance trade-offs.
• Advanced systems engineering expertise in the Linux kernel and boot processes (PXE/iPXE).
• Proficiency with virtualization and containerization technologies including KVM, QEMU, and Docker.
• Expert-level software craftsmanship in Python or Go.
• Proven ability to design robust APIs and scalable microservices that interact with hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting skills capable of solving complex challenges across the entire stack, from low-level hardware to high-level orchestration.
