Responsibilities
- Define and pursue research directions at the intersection of AI and formal methods, such as autoformalizing intent or certificate-producing code generation
- Take research ideas end-to-end from prototype to systems running against real customer workloads
- Partner with applied AI, agent, and platform engineers to translate research advances into production capabilities
- Work with design partners and security leaders to ground research in real security workflows
- Build evaluation harnesses and benchmarks for policy-compliant and verified-correct systems
- Iterate quickly and share findings internally and at academic venues
Requirements
- Recently completed PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field (or defense expected soon)
- Research experience in formal methods, program analysis, programming languages, agentic AI, or runtime verification
- Strong publication record in top conferences/journals or comparable open-source contributions
- Strong engineering ability and fluency in a major programming language
- Independent, self-starting mindset with comfort in ambiguous settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vulnerability detection or remediation
- Experience with secure-by-construction systems
