About the Company

Alloy River builds agentic applied AI for finance and accounting. We are re-architecting the general ledger from first principles, layering automation, workflow orchestration, and applied AI directly into its core to transform finance into a real-time, strategic engine.

Responsibilities

• Own foundational patterns governing how financial data moves, matches, and settles
• Build core primitives including counterparty enrichment, object-arrival matching, and transaction reconciliation
• Develop abstractions that allow engineers and agents to contribute safely
• Act as an architectural authority by reviewing approaches and shaping codebase coherence

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience with a strong computer science foundation
• Deep, practical AI integration into engineering workflows
• Experience designing and building distributed systems, core platform primitives, or foundational infrastructure
• Strong instincts for creating powerful and safe abstractions
• Understanding of accuracy, auditability, and reliability requirements for financial data
• Experience building systems that other engineers depend on
• Ability to operate with autonomy and form strong technical opinions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, accounting software, or financial infrastructure
• Familiarity with ledger systems, reconciliation, or payment processing
• Experience building integration infrastructure at scale
• Experience with workflow engines or state machines
