About the Company

Gimlet is building the next generation of AI infrastructure: large-scale AI datacenters and the orchestration platform that coordinates them. We work with foundation labs, hyperscalers, and AI-native companies to power production workloads at massive scale.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate cutting-edge AI research
• Research ways to improve model accuracy, performance, and efficiency
• Prototype frameworks using the latest fine-tuning and distillation techniques
• Evaluate and implement techniques to drive performance and quality optimizations across the latest AI models
• Explore new model architectures and experiment with novel inference efficiency techniques like KV caching and FlashAttention

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, or a comparable area
• Experience with AI/ML or applied data science

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, vLLM, or ONNX
• Software development experience with Python and C++
• Understanding of the latest AI research and techniques
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis
