Member of Operations Staff, Legal & Commercial Operations

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial/deal team on customer and partnership agreements
• Build and run operational processes to support company scaling
• Execute cross-functional operations projects including compensation policy, financial forecasting, and due diligence
• Partner with product and engineering teams on legal and regulatory issues
• Maintain the library of templates including NDAs, vendor agreements, and consulting agreements
• Manage outside counsel relationships

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission in California or New York
• 3+ years of legal practice in BigLaw, in-house, or a combination
• Hands-on experience with commercial contracts, tech transactions, or life sciences partnerships
• Strong business judgment and ability to balance legal risk with speed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a high-growth startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with life sciences, pharma, biotech, AI, or software customers
• Experience in operations, consulting, or finance
• Prior career or advanced degree (MBA, MPP) in business or operations
