Member Acquisition Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person outreach and enrollment conversations with eligible community members to drive same-day registrations
• Guide individuals through registration, intake, and enrollment processes to maximize conversion opportunities
• Execute enrollment activities at assigned partner sites, community locations, and Zócalo-hosted events
• Maintain disciplined follow-up to move referrals and leads into enrolled members
• Accurately complete registrations and documentation within Athena and other required operational systems
• Build trust quickly and effectively with community members to facilitate care connection

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience in community outreach, healthcare enrollment, public health, sales, or field-based roles
• Bilingual English-Spanish fluency is required
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally within Los Angeles County
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
• Comfort initiating conversations with strangers in public settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Medi-Cal, ECM, Community Supports, or community-based healthcare programs
• Experience using Athena health or comparable electronic health record systems
• Familiarity with local community resources and the populations served in Los Angeles
