Melting Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize the melting process to ensure stable glass quality and production output
• Troubleshoot issues within the furnace and glass delivery system processes
• Analyze operational data to support engineering decision-making
• Lead process, performance, and equipment improvement projects
• Support new technology migration and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Facility departments to improve yield and reduce defects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Material, Chemical, Mechanical, Thermal, or a related Engineering field
• Experience in glass manufacturing, furnace operations, or thermal processes
• Strong knowledge of data and statistical analysis
• Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and statistics
• Strong English reading and writing skills for international communication
• Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DMAIC or Six Sigma projects
• Experience in digital transformation projects using Python
• Technical report writing and presentation skills
