About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide operational, mechanical, process, and maintenance support to the Alpharetta Injection Molding operation
- Operate Injection Molding machines and auxiliary process equipment to meet safety, quality, and production goals
- Execute molding programs in support of R&I, PR&ET, and commercial specimen requests
- Observe molding processes and make minor adjustments as needed to ensure reliability
- Provide clear and accurate process documentation and submit samples for testing
- Ensure all molding equipment is cleaned and maintained according to SOPs
- Maintain a safe work environment by participating in safety audits and attending required training
- Coordinate timely shipment of products and follow up to ensure delivery
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience in plastics processing and maintenance
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- Ability to regularly lift and move products weighing up to 55 lbs
- Ability to operate a fork truck
- Must be medically cleared to wear a respirator
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate/Diploma in a related field
- Industrial electrical knowledge, including working from electrical schematics
- Working knowledge of industrial controls, electrical circuits, and PLCs
- Proficiency with a voltmeter and understanding of electrical safety practices
